Listen up.
This is a song I wrote and I love it. I hope you do too.
I had a blast making music with my bandmates in the Soul Doctors! For 4 years we wrote, practiced or performed on a weekly basis. It was a great time of musical growth and healing. Listen to the EP on all streaming platforms under my name
Sometimes it takes a deadline…
I have big music dreams but life often gets in the way. This is a home-made music video that I produced with the help of my husband and my sister one day the weekend before a local competition deadline…and boy did we have fun! Enjoy this song I wrote and recorded with my band, Soul Doctors in 2020
Folsom Prison
In the style of Bob Marly meeting some vampires at the beach for a picnic…
This was our second video for a local competition during the 2020 pandemic shut-down. We had so much fun putting this together in a crunch!
Old school stuff….
In 2009 I was a single mother newly living back home with my parents and inspired by a an online competition, I challenged myself to write, record and post videos of fresh music weekly. That was a tall order and it turned out to be more like a monthly achievement. This challenge pushed me to tap into my songwriting abilities a little differently and I appreciated the process. Shout out to Ryan Ramsey Meyer for helping me push this project over the finish line back in the day
Even Older School
In high school I LOVED collaborating with my dear sweet friend Catherine Lindloff. By the encouragement and generosity of the elder males in our community, we recorded the songs that we wrote & performed together. We did this in in one day at one elder’s studio. It was one of my first experience with recording and I absolutely loved it.
The song “Oh, Lover” is a from Shakespeare play, “Twelfth Night” in that my friends in high school were in, so I joined and found my place to shine putting the words to music for the performance. My mother had no clue what I had been up to and was completely surprised when I walked on stage and performed this. This one is still one of her favorites
